On our trip to Granada we will follow Washington Irving's historic route, passing the cities as mentioned in "Tales of the Alhambra" such as Alcalá de Guadaira, Arahal, Osuna, Santa Fé. You will enjoy the view of wide fields of olive and fruit trees, and contemplate the astonishing mountains and valleys on the way to Granada.
After visiting the Alhambra the bus will bring you down to the historic city centre where you will have time to make some shoppings and have lunch. Later afternoon we will bring you back to Seville.
We will visit the most important halls and courtyards of the Alhambra including the Nasrid Palaces, Patio de los Arrayanes (myrtle courtyard), the Patio de los Leones (Lion Courtyard), the Salon of the Embajadores (Ambassador's Hall), and the Sala de los Abencerrajes, which was the scene of a tragic legend. In addition, we shall also visit the Alcazaba or fortress, the royal baths, the partial gardens and the palace of Charles the Fifth.
The visit will then continue to the Generalife, situated next to the Alhambra, and which was a place of leisure and recreation for the moorish kings of granada . The Generalife contains magnificent gardens whith many varied sorts of flowers and fountains, described by the poet "the hidden water weeps". The visit includes two further courtyards, the Patio de la Acequia and the Patio de la Sultana.
The tour will last aprox. between 2,5 and 3 hours.

The meeting point will be your hotel in the centre of Seville between 06:15 y 06:30 horas (+/- 10 minutos). In case you are not lodged in a hotel in Seville city centre, we will provide you with an alternative meeting point close to your hotel.
Due to the length of the walking tour we recommend you to wear comfortable shoes and drink sufficiently water during the walk.
